Dr. Shamsuddin is Professor of Pathology at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and President of IP-6 Research Inc. He discovered that IP-6 and Inositol, two of the natural ingredients of our cereal diets (rice, corn, soy, sesame, etc.) have broad-spectrum anticancer action. Dr. Shamsuddin has also invented a simple and inexpensive test for cancer screening in the colon, lung and breast. He is one of the founding Directors of StatsMED Inc, a non-profit organization to support, facilitate and conduct biomedical research. He is also the founding Director and Chairman of the Board of IP-6 Foundation Inc., another non-profit organization to support health-care and economic empowerment in impoverished rural Bangladesh.
